About West Branch Friends Church

Who We Are

West Branch Friends Church (or Meeting, as early Quakers called their gatherings) is a loving, welcoming fellowship of the Religious Society of Friends, also known as Quakers. Ours is a programmed meeting with pastoral leadership, children's messages, congregational, choral and hand bell music, all providing a vital worship experience. We share periods of scripture readings and expectant listening open to the leading of the Spirit. We are drawn together by Quaker testimonies and concerns, and most of all, by God's love.

Our Philosophy

Faith is more than what happens on Sunday mornings. It's a part of who we are, inside and out. At West Branch Friends, we believe in helping each individual to grow in their faith, sharing the joy of God's love daily, and living a life that embodies the Spirit of Christ. We believe we must BE THE CHURCH, and in order to do that, we must protect the environment, care for the poor, reject racism, forgive often, fight for the powerless, share earthly and spiritual resources, embrace diversity, love God, and enjoy life!

Quite the challenges, but it's what Jesus modeled for us, and we strive to do our best to be the church for all who may need us.
