Last night, during my end of day devotional/prayer time I discovered a resource called Practicing Spirituality in Winter by Frederic and Mary Ann Brussat. There is a practice for each day for a month. I would like to share these with you beginning today. I must confess that when the temperatures drop to the levels of today and yesterday, I get pretty grumpy. I am a life-long Iowan, you'd think I would be used to this by now! I am choosing to try these practices to help reframe my approach to winter and to explore a different way of connecting with God and with God's creation -- even in this season...
I hope you don't find these emails to be an intrusion -- please feel free to delete without reading if it feels like one more thing on your plate. But if not... I would love to hear how the practices go for you.
Shall we begin? Day 1 is called "Make Severe and Inconvenient Weather into an Adventure". It's in the link below. Blessings to you all...In Riotous Joy, Pastor Chris

We hope you are able to join us in Meeting for Worship each Sunday at 10:30 A.M., either in person or via the Zoom link (e-mail Jim Glasson at email@example.com for the link) .Our structured service offers hymns, scripture, special music, child care, and an intentional time of silent reflection for Communion after the Manner of Friends. Our building is accessible with plenty of parking behind the meeting house, and an elevator to access both levels of the meeting house.
